Pressé à 3000 ex., « The Return Of The Swinging Monkeys » est le premier album d’ASTINGS. Enregistré au mythique studio Vogue sous la houlette de Frédéric Soulard (Hey Hey My My, Pony Hoax…), l’album est sorti en mars 2009 sur le label Z Factory Records.

Cet EP, enregistré durant l’été 2006, précède la composition de « The Return Of The Swinging Monkeys ». « Foolin’ Away » et « The Other Side », ici dans leurs versions « démo », sont d’ailleurs des titres que l’on retrouvera sur ce premier album.
Comme pour « Where all begins… », le groupe a fait appel au talent de Thomas Sadoun (Fairguson) pour l’enregistrement.
